Highlights:

Reykjavik (the world's northernmost capital) Hallgrims church, National Museum, Phallological Museum, unique Penis museumHarpa Convention Center, Arbaersafn Open Air Museum, Thingvellir National Park (UNESCO), with the world's oldest parliament; it is sitting atop the rift between the North American and Eurasian Tectonic plates. You can arrange a dive here. Landmannalaugar with an alpine Flora and the best thermal pools. Skaltholt Domchurch. Only scientists can put foot on newly born (1963) volcanic Surtsey Island (UNESCO). We did a scenic flight from Bakki that gives an excellent view of the island. To recommend! Vestmannaeyjar Islands in the very South of Iceland, here 1627 Algerian pirates took 242 islanders into slavery, today it is a very nice place to visit on a day trip from Landeyjar by ferry. Skogafoss waterfall, one of the highest in Iceland. Cape Dyrholaey with a huge black beach, then Vik church. Vatnajökull (UNESCO) the biggest National Park and glacier in Europe, and Skaftafell glacier. Jökulsarlon glacier lagoon situated directly on the Ring Road.
