Patan Golden Temple Kwa Bahal, Pashupatinath Hindu temple UNESCO and cremation site, Swayambhunath Buddhist temple UNESCO with plenty of resident monkeys around, great Bodhnath Buddhist stupa UNESCO, Pokara for fine mountain views and trekking, it is the gateway to the Himalayas, Annapurna Circuit and Poon Hill for longer treks, Chitwan National Park UNESCO for wildlife viewing with a tropical monsoon climate. Nagarkot for fine views of the world's highest mountain peaks, including Mt. Everest. Lumbini UNESCO the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha).
