Lima Historic centre UNESCO with Archbishop Palace and Cathedral, Church and Convent of San Francisco with a wonderful library, San Augustin Church, Plaza San Martin with Hotel Bolivar. National Museum of Archaeology. Gold museum of Peru. Museo del Banco de Reserva, Huaca Pucllanan Archaeological site, Christo del Pacifico, Chic Barranco with trendy restaurants and bars, view to beaches and Ermita church, Larcomar wonderful view from the Shopping Arcades. Callao Fort and Naval Museum, Lima Government Palace. Puno on the shores of lake Titicaca is a nice place to relax and organize boat tours to the lake and nearby reed villages. St. Peter the Apostle church in Andahuaylillas.Cuzco's (UNESCO) Plaza de Armas with the imposing Basilica just next to it. Church of the Society of Jesus. Saqsaywaman ruins with great views over the city. Santa Catalina monastery. Santo Domingo church, built on top of Coricancha, the most important Inca temple. La Merced church with lots of gold treasure and nice frescoes. Inca Roca palace. Museo Arte Religioso.The whitewashed cottages of Barrio de San Blas. Urubamba is the sympathic gateway to the treasures of the Sacred Valley like the ruins of Ollantaytambo. Machu Picchu UNESCO, the most renewed archaeological site from the Inca period. Climbed Huayna Picchu (2780m) with sandals, the mountain overlooking the ruins. Steps and paths leading to the summit (about 2 hours) for a superlative view of the whole site. Hot Springs at Aguas Calientes. If possible make it overnight next to the Urubamba river, in the rainy season an unforgettable experience. Banos del Inca. Sunday is market day in Pisac, an event not to be missed. Historical Center of the City of Arequipa UNESCO, Santa Catalina monastery with "Juanita", the beautiful mummy girl of Ampato. Nasca Chauchilla cemetery with mummified human remains. Nasca Lines UNESCO, best seen from the air or some from a platform, many theories exist about their origin. Ica is Peru's chief wine centre. Nearby, around a palm-fringed lake and amazing sand dunes, is Huacachina, the top place to be for sandboarding! Spectacular Ballestas Islands, the tiny Galapagos of Peru. Chan-Chan UNESCO, the former capital of the Chimu Empire and Huanchaco, famous for its caballitos (fishing boats made out of Totora reed), both located near Trujilllo UNESCO with its colonial charm. Huascaran National Park UNESCO. Huaca de la Luna and huaco del Sol, the huge Moche pyramids. Lambayeque Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan and the National Brüning museum. Punta Sal Beach. Caral-Supe Sacred Site UNESCO, a great place and huge. Chavin Archaeological Site. Chankillo Astronomical Complex UNESCO.
Cerro Sechin Archaeological Site near Casma. Cajamarca was surprisingly beautiful, can be reached from Trujillo by public bus, direct goes only the company Aquario's, 6-7 hours. Cajamarca has the Ventanillas de Otuzco, the Inca Ransom room, huge Plaza de Armas, and a handful of nice colonial churches.
