Highlights:
Colombo discover the city by foot, tuk-tuk or tour bus. Visit the Red Mosque and nearby Pettah market, Independance Memorial Hall and the National Museum, Sri Kaileswaram, the oldest Hindu temple in the city, Gangaramaya temple, relax at Mt. Lavinia beach, Evening stroll at Galle Face Green along the Ocean, Go up Lotus Tower that should be open by now. Colombo Zoo in Dehiwala.Port Maritime Museum. Dambulla Golden Cave Temple UNESCO, Surf at Kikkaduwa, Polonnaruva Ancient City UNESCO, Sigiriya Fortress Rock (good for sunset) UNESCO and just adjacent the less famous Pidurangala Rock (good for sunrise), Ride the Kandy to Ella train for less than 2 dollars, great scenery, 5 hours.
