Highlights:
Colonia del Sacramento UNESCO charming city with an interesting historic section jutting into the Rio de la Plata, it was founded by Portuguese settlers 1680 and has the oldest church in Uruguay, Iglesia Matriz, plus Puerta de Campo, Plaza Mayor with the Museo Municipal. Visit the Faro (lighthouse) and go up the stairs for the excellent view. Plenty of Oldtimers in town. Montevideo Plaza Independencia, Mercado Del Puerto, Iglesia de Atlantida (UNESCO) a bit north of the capital, possible half day trip by public buses,
Naval Museum, Jardim Botanico, Museo de la Memoria, Museo Zorrilla, Club Nautico and lighthouse, Paisaje Industrial Fray Bentos (UNESCO) and its amazing history of can meat business! Guided tour of about 90 minutes.
